Located within the Vinhomes Riverside urban area in Hanoi, this 180-square-meter Japanese garden was designed to create a tranquil retreat where architecture, water, stone, and vegetation blend into a harmonious living landscape.
The design is organized around a winding koi pond connected by elegant wooden and granite bridges, creating a continuous journey through the garden. Carefully composed natural boulders, handcrafted stone lanterns, moss-covered ground, and stepping stones establish a timeless Japanese aesthetic, while mature Japanese pines, ornamental shrubs, ferns, and layered planting soften the space and provide year-round visual interest.
A gentle waterfall introduces the calming sound of flowing water, enhancing the atmosphere and supporting the health of the koi pond. Every element—from the arrangement of rocks and pathways to the placement of trees and lighting—was thoughtfully considered to balance openness and intimacy, allowing residents to experience the garden from multiple viewpoints throughout the villa.
The result is a refined landscape that embodies the principles of Japanese garden design: simplicity, balance, craftsmanship, and a deep connection between people and nature.
