Back to Japanese Gardens

Designed for a private residence in Vinhomes Riverside, Hanoi, this 200-square-meter Japanese garden was created as a tranquil extension of the living space, where architecture and landscape merge into a calm, immersive experience.

The design draws inspiration from the timeless principles of traditional Japanese gardens, emphasizing harmony, balance, and the subtle beauty of natural materials. Carefully composed stone arrangements, water features, sculpted planting, and winding garden paths create a sequence of spaces that reveal themselves gradually, encouraging moments of quiet reflection and everyday connection with nature.

Rather than serving as a decorative backdrop, the garden becomes an integral part of the residence—offering changing seasonal scenery, filtered natural light, and carefully framed views from the interior. Every element is thoughtfully positioned to achieve a restrained yet refined composition, expressing a sense of serenity, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance within the heart of the home.
